Delete icons from launchpad with no x

How do I delete icons from launchpad with no x? I have deleted the Application (also from the trash folder) and can't find the program anymore.

MacBook Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)

If you don't see next to the app that you want to delete, the app either didn't come from the Mac App Store or is required by your Mac. To delete an app that didn't come from the Mac App Store, delete it from your Applications folder in Finder:

Use Launchpad on your Mac - Apple Support

In addition, if you installed an app using an installer, then those cannot be deleted by clicking the X in LaunchPad (they won't have an X). You must check with the developer of the app and determine how to uninstall it. Sometimes they have an uninstaller app, and other times they just have instruction.
