Emergency Calling

When my iPod Touch gets disabled I can emergency call but do you need WiFi to call and do you have to pay for those calls

iPod touch, iOS 11.4.1

Hi Isaiah!

I don't think you can make emergency calls on your iPod Touch. The only calls you can make with your iPod is with FaceTime Audio and FaceTime Video, but you can also use other video calling apps. Since the iPod can't connect to cellular data and doesn't have service, calls can only be performed when your device is connected to WiFi! All FaceTime calls are free! Hope this information helps!
