iPhone prints to wrong tray on printer

AIrPrint from my iPhone worked great a few times, suddenly no longer.

Print jobs are sent to the incorrect paper tray (HP MB2720), and I see no way to select the correct tray in IOS - just the printer itself.

Presetting the default tray directly on the printer has no effect - iPhone only attempts to print to print top feed tray for some reason. That is set for envelopes.

How can this be fixed?

Probably a question for HP.

It's their driver that would control tray access.
