2018 15"MBP cannot run CS GO properly

Hi all, this is the first time i have transited from a windows PC to a Mac.

I have gotten the 2018 15inch Apple MacbookPro. It comes with i7/16GB Ram/Radeon 550X etc.

However, i am amazed by the fact that the laptop struggles with CS Go at full HD resolution. This game has been more than 5 years old and i believe its settings/drivers issue? Got trolled by the Windows users in steam community and hope I can find some help here.

Any fellow mac users here to advise?
