Is a lightning-to-USB cable a SATA cable?

I'm told I need an SATA cable to clone my HD into an SSD using Disk Utilities prior to replacing my HDD with an SSD. Is the Lightning-to-USB cable I use with my iPhone the right cable?

MacBook Air, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)
