Cannot Open This content is not authorized

- iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.4.1


I have an issue with a single song that suddenly gives this error message. The song is ‘Nonstop’ by Drake, if that matters. Every other song on the album still plays, same with all my other songs, downloaded or not. So far I’ve tried:


- Restarting my phone

- Signing out/in to Apple ID

- Deleting/redownloading Apple Music

- Buying the song on iTunes Store

- Toggling cellular data usage (for streaming, downloads) on Apple Music

- Resetting all settings on my phone

- Checking my Apple ID subscription

- Using WiFi and just data


Nothing works. At this point I just want to figure out why. Thanks!

Hold down on the song that isn’t working in your library and remove it from downloads.. it should work after that and you’ll be able to redownload.. i was having the same issue and it’s iust really frustrating because it was only 2 songs not working all of a sudden.

I have literally been sitting here watching this thread for days waiting for an answer to this problem. For some reason it was the exact same song that wouldn’t play for me then I checked and more of my songs wouldn’t play. What you just said, I’ve been doing for days, but now it wants to work. Thank goodness I go on vacation I would be without lol. Apple is sometimes weird and irritating but I’m a diehard Apple fan
