Charger Won't Fit After Phone Fell In Water

Hey, so I dropped my iphone 6s in a bucket of hot water on accident. I immediately took it out and let it sit in some rice for about 15-20 minutes. When I took it out, I tried to plug the charger in, but the charger wouldn't fit. What should I do??

iPhone 6s, iOS 11.4

Drying something wet with a mediocre dessicant like uncooked rice takes days to weeks, not minutes. It also almost never works as the damage was done the minute water hit any energized electrical connections in the iPhone.

Get Apple to evaluate it (there is no charge for that) and see what they can offer you. Most likely you’ll need to pay for an out of warranty replacement.
