HBO Now always buffering out of nowhere

I use an Apple TV third generation of which I have owned since late 2013 and, out of nowhere, starting a month ago (maybe a week or two after finishing Westworld), HBO Now is almost ALWAYS buffering when I hit play. Sometimes, and only SOMETIMES, if I exit and click play again over, and over, and over....and over... and over it will eventually work. SOMETIMES, when I follow the steps on HBO Now's trouble shooting website, in which I restart the device and then reopen HBO Now and try to play something, it will work (emphasis on sometimes). SOMETIMES, after buffering for a while, it will display one of those "can't play right now" screens. And sometimes, RARELY, it will just work the way it used to.

Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video literally will never do this.

Please advise.
