Im having problems syncing my i pad 6th generation on my pc. Error message sync session failed to start

I have recently bought i pad 6th generation ios 11.4.1 and I am receiving error message when trying to sync with my pc running windows 7. Can someone please advise what to do as I am keen to get my music onto my new i pad.

Make sure you have the latest iTunes version 12.8.x or later on computer to sync with iOS 11.4.x

I am running iTunes 12.8.0.150 and iOS 11.4.1 and I get this error too. So, what is the problem? and How Can We Fix It?
