import file .MTS in FCPX ???

Dear All,

I've a huge problem - we use to work our postrpoduction with FCPX and I love it . I'm happy with the programme.

But now more files are coming in our production from SONY camera ( the files extension is .MTS ) and they are not importable on fcpx and that is not good for our wokflow.

What i have to do? convert all file .mts in .mov before every passage in fcpx? it is a long work....and it can be not good for the workflow. Adobe premiere doesn't have this problem .

Do you have the same problem?

How do you solve it?

You can import mts to fcpx but you must create optimize and proxy for workflowplease note next time you can copy your card fully means it seems PRIVATE from your card copy it where you want if you have two same card create two folder and copy separatley from here you can import to fcp.

No. .mts files can be imported into FCP, but it depends on where the files are coming from exactly. Are they on your hard drive? On a camera card? .mts is used by a number of frameworks. What Sony camera are you talking about? What format does it shoot? AVCHD? Something else?
