I thought I would update my OS this morning. Went to the App Store, Updated my software to High Sierra, but it will not launch the new OS. I am still using OS X 10.9.5
Any ideas what to do? I have restarted and the app store says that High Sierra is Installed.

You can try launching the installer manually from the Applications folder.
