This garbage "system scanner" appeared on my system and now pops up frequently.
How do I remove it. (Dragging the app to the trash didn't seem to work)
iMac with Retina 5K display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)
Thank you Allan. I had moved it from the applications folder to trash, but didn't delete the folders in libraries and didn't empty the trash. Doing all that seemed to work.
Incidently, in libraries/Application support I found and deleted a folder called mactonic in addition to mtc. both had the same creation date and time.
