blinking questionmark

MacBook Pro 13" A1278 early 2011 all original.

Bought the computer from a friend. While starting the first time, it shows a blinking questionmark.

So I put a new, not formatted HDD 500GB Seagate Barracuda ST500LM030 in, the same result.

Starting with alt-key hold down, no diskutility appears, only white desktop and mouse is working.

Starting with cmd+R keys hold down, no menue appears, after 30 sec blinking questionmark appears again.

No recover CD exists.

It seems, that no disk or system is found.

What`s to do, to fix that problem?
