What goal are you trying to achieve? If you simply want to drop a video file onto a DVD, then Jimzgoldfinch's information will work. You will end up with a data disk with a file on it, the same as any other disk your computer reads as just a disk of files.


Many newer DVD and Blu-ray players can read MP4 files and play them from a data disk, so it will still work.


But, if you mean you want to create a DVD that is the same as a commercial movie disk, you cannot do that using only the OS. You would need something like Toast Titanium.
