What’s up With “US Holiday” calendar?

I’m wondering, as are sooo many others, what the heck is up with the “US Holidays” calendar? Did Apple mistakenly name this calendar? If so, where can we find the official US Holiday calendar? Or at least how can we delete the NON-US holidays?

This is the list of US Fedral Holidays that all US citizens have grown up with and would like to have on our US Calendars:

You're a bit late to this. 🙂 There were long topics about this 6 months ago.


It appears Apple's late February response to the outcry at the removal of religious holidays (which only represented Christian events) from the calendar was a complete remake to create a cultural calendar representative of modern USA ethnic and religious diversity. This has admittedly resulted in a busy calendar and you can make or subscribe to a different calendar that only has what you want.
