iPhone slow to connect to mobile network.

Every time I switch my iphone 7+ on, or turn flight save mode off, it takes a couple of minutes to connect to a mobile network - even though it indicates there is one there with a strong signal. Fine on WiF. Vodafone contract - but same issue when roaming on other networks.

A couple of minutes is too much.

Two things to try:

1. I would try to Reset Network Settings (Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings). This operation resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before, but nothing else will be affected. When done, restart your iphone.

2. I would talk to your carrier and see if everything is OK on their side, or if they have an update to be downloaded on your device.

If nothing changes, have your device inspected at your most convenient Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider:

Apple - Find Locations - Location Selector

Here in Italy, using Vodafone, I've no problem (now here is version 32.0, shown on Settings>General>About>Carrier, but in your country it could be different).

I would recommend that you talk to a Vodafone "chief" technician.

I had a problem many years ago and went to a Vodafone store, but people there weren't helpful

at all. I insisted and could speak to a good technician who solved the problem almost immediately, connecting to my device / SIM card.

And reading your last post, after your tests, yes, it could be a problem on their side, not on your iphone.

Please let me know how it goes.

Best of luck.

Giulio
