How can I Edit my User name in Apple Communities, I feel that it gives to much detail about myself.
Ideally I actually want to delete my Communities account but it can not be done unless you delete your whole AppleID account which then causes other issues with all the main reasons for having a AppleID account.
Apple support has been contacted and they do not have a fix at this time, other then deleting the AppleID.

Thank you for your reply, it appears that the hosts must have taken action and changed my user name to something that does not identify me and my location. The new user name definitly does not give any indication of who I am.

After reviewing the Apple Communities use agreement points 2.7 and 2.11, which states not to reveal personal information, I don’t understand why the process of first creating an account would have defaulted the user name to my name and mailing address Town name.
I still wish I could have been able to change my user name to something I related or identified too, the new user name even makes me think it’s not me or my account.
I guess this solves my online security concerns.

I can report your post to the hosts and then it’s up to them whether or not they take action.
We have wondered about the "suggestive username" text for many years.
For many, FirstnamefromCity does not pose much of a problem, I guess.
