One movie on iMovie won't export and keeps saying share failed. Does anyone have any solutions?

Share failures can be caused by a number of things. Sometimes there is corruption in one of the frames or clips, in which case you would need to scroll through your project looking for white flashes, black frames, artifacts, or other evidence of corruption, and cut those out of the project before sharing.


Also, check to make sure that you have enough space on your destination drive to receive the movie. Insufficient space will cause the sharing process to abort.


You didn't mention what version of iMovie or operating system you are using.


If it's just one project that is not exporting, in iMovie 10 you can do an Edit/Select All, Edit/Copy, of the media in the project, and then Edit/Paste it into a newly created project.


You can also try opening iMovie 10 while holding down the Option and Command keys and selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to access your projects. See if you can share the troublesome project.
