iPhone virus or hacked?

My iPhone 6s is not jail broken and I don’t download crazy apps or data on it or anything. But lately it’s been acting like it’s been hacked. I’ve changed my Apple ID password like three times. It has plenty of storage and is backed up regularly. Can someone be using my imei number to spy on me?? I was under the impression it’s close to impossible to hack into iPhones that haven’t been unlocked and are password secure. My battery will start draining super fast and my phone gets hot for no reason. My text messages are being delivered late and sometimes I only see them in my previews but when I enter my security pin to view them they disappear. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hello Christiie

Thank you for providing this valuable information I suggest you try the following since your iOS device is acting buggy:

Please perform the following:

iCloud: Back up your iOS devices to iCloud

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

And then you perform a Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

But do not Restore for iCloud or iTunes immediately, just observe for a few hours how the iPhone is behaving and then you can go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings

Then preferably Restore for iCloud rather than iTunes
