Windows can only be installed on GPT disks.

Hello,

I want install to Windows 8.1 on my MacBook Pro (Early 2011). I create Windows 8.1 install disk on Boot Camp Assistant to USB flash drive, then after first restart cursor blinking, I try with ALT key after reboot and is three options, Macintosh HD, Recovery and EFI boot, no selection of Windows. If I select EFI boot, i have error:

WIndows cannot be installed on this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed on GPT disks.

With Windows on DVD, after reboot and ALT key, then are 4 options, Macintosh HD, Recovery, Windows and EFI boot, but if I select Windows then cursor is blinking.

Thanks.

MacBook Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.4)

On a 2011 Mac, you need to use Windows DVD.

In macOS, with the DVD inserted in the Optical drive, post the output of

diskutil list

Is the DVD a commercial DVD or one created from an ISO?
