Are there foreign transaction fees if you use apple pay in Europe?

If you use apple pay in Europe and your card normally charges a foreign transaction fee does that still happen? And are there any foreign transaction fees charged by apple pay?

Apple itself doesn't charge the users any fees for using Apple Pay anywhere. Any fees that your bank usually charges for foreign transactions when using your card abroad, however, will also apply when using Apple Pay. Also note that, once you have Apple Pay set up, you can use it anywhere you could use your card as long as they also accept nfc contactless payment. Even in countries where Apple Pay hasn't been officially launched yet such as Iceland, Mexico or Portugal.
