I want to change my iCloud storage plan. It wants me to enter a password for an old apple ID which I no longer use as I recently changed my account details. Why did iCloud (systems preferences} not update my new ID as now I cannot access the storage plan?

you have to enter the password for the Apple ID that purchased the iCloud storage - if you do not remember it use these instructions - If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support

If You changed the primary email of Your Id without signe out from icloud.You can only rename back to old primary email signe out from icloud then rename to new one.bc on the server change appears but in device stucked the old.Or call the support after verification they can stop it.
