I need to delete chum search on my desktop. I also want to delete a pop-up from MacKeeper. Any help would be appreciated!

I suggest that you try either or both EtreCheck and/or Malwarebytes for Mac to both detect and remove any malware from your Mac.

Remove Chum Search by dragging to the Trash and then empty the Trash.
To remove popups if you are using Safari go to:
Safari - Preferences - Extensions - Add Plugin and select a popup blocker.
Sorry for the delay in answering. I dragged chum search to the trash; it appeared to be gone, but when I tried to set a different home page it would not work, and the line for chum search was still there, but faintly.
Re; the pop up for MacKeeper, even when I check the box to cancel pop ups on Safari it still pops up. I even tried to stop them using Chrome, but couldn't even find a box to check.
I will try your blog tomorrow. I used to build my own computers, but now I'm eighty three, and the gray cells have to put in a lot of overtime! Thanks for the suggestions.
