files turning into an exec

I am trying to upload photos and videos off of an sd card from a go pro. I uploaded them onto a dell laptop the first time and it worked perfect all the content was there and able to open and view. Then I decided to move them over to my mac for better editing options. I put them back onto the original sd card and put that into my mac. Now when I try to view and save those photos and videos about half of them show up with a grey cover that says "exec" in green and it wont let me open and view them. Ive tried a couple things to fix and all have failed. The extension on the file are ".LRV" and some are ".HTM". Please help really need these pictures.

The THM files and LRV files are not necessary to view you're videos. You cab safely delete and ignore them.

  • The files with ".THM" are low resolution image thumbnails. they are not necessary in your Photos Library, because Photos will create its own thumbnails.
  • The files with ".LRV" are low resolution video thumbnails. If Photos can read the .mp4 videos on your card, it will create its own video thumbnails.

Skip any ".THM" and ".LRV" files when importing to your Mac.
