I have lost my AirPods charge case and as they were a gift I don’t jave the receipt or serial number....Apple said they can’t help me without either...
Any suggestions as I am not happy.

Hmm, it does seem to be a bit more tricky doesn't it? I've just had an online chat via that link I posted earlier. Apparently older units have the serial number written in tiny writing on the left AirPod, otherwise if you can charge them with another case (assuming they are flat) and connect them to your phone the serial number can be read from Settings > General > About > AirPods.

I went to 2 stores, without the receipt or serial number (located on the case) they said they could not help me. They were a gift from an old boss so I have niether of these....
