Hi. I have a problem with using Safari and Mail with a VPN. Safari does not load many pages I try to open or doesn't load the images, also when the adblock is uninstalled. Mail also sometimes connects and sometimes it doesn't. The problem doesn't seem to be related to the VPN app or the service, because Firefox for example works fine. How can I solve this problem?

I chose manually the TCP protocol and now everything seems working fine, even Mail. The VPN is Windscribe and it has a dedicated app for Mac, besides that I don't know.

As for the mail, which protocols are supported by that VPN? Do you have any plugin, applescript or add-on installed on the Mail app?
Do they work normally when not using the VPN? If so, that sounds like the VPN isn't compatible for use with Safari and Mail.
It supports IKEv2, UDP, TCP or Stealth, but I set it on "automatic", so it selects automatically the best one. Should I use one in particular?

Mail (POP3, IMAP, SMTP) and web (HTTP/Websockets) protocols work over TCP, which is not saying much, virtually any app you use which connects to a network, including internet, works over TCP.
Maybe how they integrate with macOS security or how the VPN app is signed might be the issue. Does this VPN provider has any documentation with regards to using it on macOS?
I also use two VPNs, one for work and another personal, and I have not had issues with any app other than occasional network hiccups.
