How to measure distance I walk with Apple Watch 3 pushing a stroller

I am frustrated with the activity app on my Apple Watch 3. When I do an outdoor walk pushing a stroller it will measure time, heart rate, nets., but not distance. Fitbit will do it - why not the watch?

Thank you! Cool. I do see the route, but nothing telling me the distance I walked. Of course, my arms are not moving when I am pushing the stroller so it shows I only walked .08 mile when I know I walked well over 1/2 mile. Guess it can’t do it unless I strap the watch to my ankle, but I appreciate learning about “route.” Thanks again!!

FYI: The colors indicate pace: Green/Fast, Yellow/Slow, Red/Stopped. If you'd paused the workout (or lost GPS) but continued to walk, there would be a dotted line.

This is strange I agree, but I think the stroller may be a "red herring"? Just to confirm, do have a previous walks on the same route without the stroller that measures the distance correctly?

Also look in the health app to see if data is missing there to the time of walk.
