Wifi on iPhone X only works with home router. Can't connect to xfinitywifi either unless close to router.

Haven't had a problem accessing internet on my iPhone X. The last few days, other networks, including my home network are only accessible if I'm within 30 feet of my internet router. Any idea of how to fix this? Is it my phone?

iPhone X, iOS 11.4.1

Thanks for replying Becky. The problem started pretty close to the latest iOS versions. I ended up calling Apple support and a great guy was able to fix the problem. We did so many things that I've forgotten them all. Started by doing backup, going into Airplane Mode, turning off Wi-Fi, maybe cellular..... resetting. Anyway it worked! I should've asked why I had the problem and what I can do in the future to avoid this problem.

Hey, suntorygr.

I see that you're having an issue with your iPhone X. It won't connect to any Wi-Fi network unless you're close to the router. I'm happy to help.

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network -- Here are the steps to use when you're unable to connect your iOS device to a Wi-Fi network.

Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points -- These are the recommended settings for your home's Wi-Fi network.

Potential sources of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interference -- If you're noticing issues while you are connected, you may be experiencing interference.

Let me know how that goes, and take care!
