How to reformat factory-default High Sierra Mac?
I have a used MacBook that has been reset to factory-default High Sierra. I want to reformat it to Sierra because I use Final Cut Pro 7. I have Sierra on a USB stick and the process works fine (boot to the USB) until I get to Disk Utility and need to select a hard drive to erase and format. I don't know which drive to select and haven't been able to find any information about reformatting a High Sierra Mac that hasn't been previously set up.
There are two main internal drives listed, AppleAPFSMedia and Crucial_(long drive name), which is the type of hard drive installed. There are also a few drives indented under AppleAPFSMedia, including one called Macintosh-HD. Here is a photo of one of the panes:
I have no idea what the disk images are.
Which icon/name should I select to reformat this Mac to Sierra? I can post photos of the Macintosh-HD pane and Crucial pane too if that would be helpful.
Thank you so much.
