If the MacBook that it came with is still under the one (1) year limited warranty or if you purchased an extended AppleCare+ service plan with it, it may be determined that this could be a manufacturing defect ... but unless you take it to either an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized/Premium Reseller and ask, you won't know for sure.
