Smoke Alarm products for Homekit

Is First Alert still the only product designed to work with Homekit? It’s received very low customer satisfaction remarks on Amazon and elsewhere. I’m seeking a high quality product for such an important and necessary function— protecting lives and your largest asset. Maybe Apple will entice a manufacturer to build a great quality product or perhaps design and build it themselves. Not having a smoke alarm product in the list of compatible Homekit products is a huge miss in the line-up of home automation. I‘m a strong supporter of Apple products especially from the security aspect. However, it is very challenging to adopt home automation without a high quality reputable line of vendor products in the safety and security areas.
