Voicemail not working on iPhone 5s

Is there a hardware based solution to reset voicemail on a 5s to the factory settings? I have been on the phone with AT&T off and on for 2 days and they can't get my voicemail back to the original settings. Please help.

voice mail is not a part of iOS it's a carrier feature, some just have you add a number provided by the carrier to their voice mail service some have their own app some have a more integrated thing like it seems some carriers in usa have with their visual voice mail but at the end of the day each carrier handle it differently with carrier being the key.

Voicemails are tricky. You may want to try dialing your phone number if your trying to access them.

But voicemails are a carrier issue. Especially if it pertains to visual voicemail. It must be part of your carrier profile.

If you want to try this step it’s a long shot but. Putting your iPhone into recovery connected to iTunes. Itunes will download new software from Apple. Once it’s completed, you can try setting it up as new, then seeing if the voicemail works.
