Keyboard symbols

I am trying to find the cent symbol on my keyboard as it no longer appears under the $ key. Is it still there or do I have to copy it from another source?

With the keyboard open, tap the “.?123” tab at the bottom, gently tap on the “$” key and the “¢” sign will be there.

Hey mda50,

I understand you're no longer seeing the cent symbol in your keyboard on your iPad. I'd be happy to help out with this.

I recommend using the steps below to confirm you're selecting an alternate character for the '$' symbol.

Enter accented letters or other alternate characters. Touch and hold a key, then slide to choose one of the options.

Also, please make sure that you're using the default keyboard for your iPad. If you're using a third party keyboard, you can use the steps below to select the default iOS keyboard.

Switch to another keyboard

While you're using an app, you can switch to a different keyboard, like a third-party keyboard or a language keyboard. Follow these steps:

  1. Touch and hold User uploaded file or User uploaded file.
  2. Select the keyboard you want to use.

If you're still having issues after taking the above steps, I'd continue with restarting your device to test and let me know the result:
