Will a screen protector for iPad Pro affect the functionality and utility of the Apple Pencil?

I would like to have a screen protector for my iPad Pro but I am concerned this will affect the writing ability of the Apple Pancil. If this is not the case, what is the best screen protector to purchase in this case?

iPad Pro 10.5-inch, Wi-Fi

Some drawing apps ARE affected by thick glass screen protectors and Apple Pencil response.

Plus glass screen protectors are still slippery for the Apple Pencil, just like the actual glass screen of an iPad.

Best to use thin film screen protectors with Apple Pencil.

Thin film, matte screen protectors are supposed to be better for using the Apple Pencil on an iPad, but the type of matte finish of these types of film screen protectors reduced the clarity/resolution of the iPad's beautiful screen.

Is there a glass screen protector you would recommend? I typically use Zagg screen protectors but I’m not sure if those are too thick in this case.

No.

I personally don’t recoomend any glass screen protectors if trying to use the Apple Pencil or any other third party Bluetooth stylus.

I do not know what the thickness threshold is for when Bluetooth stylus response starts becoming an issue.

All I know is that some drawings apps ARE affected by this and the response of the Apple Pencil or other Bluetooth stylii.

The farther away from the actual iPad screen you are with a screen protector the less sensitive any type of stylus will become, even for common capacitive stylii this will be true.

If you insist on using a screen protector, stay with the thin plastic film type as these are much thinner and won’t have a potential impact on drawing app issues or Apple Pencil response.
