Blue tooth does not display callers name?

iPhone 7 IOS 11.4.1

When receiving a call via blue tooth the callers name does not display. Even when it's one of my contacts calling.

I've tried resetting iPhone and deleting iPhone from blue tooth, then reinstalling. Any ideas?

Hello Clifford,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. I understand that you do not see Caller ID for incoming calls when your iPhone 7 is connected to a Bluetooth device. You've done some great troubleshooting so far, and I would be happy to help point you towards a resolution.

Let's start by checking if there is a carrier settings update for your device: Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

After that, confirm that your Language & Region setting are showing correct for your current location following the steps in this resource: Change the language on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If you're still encountering this behavior, some helpful information to know would be:

  1. What type of Bluetooth device is the iPhone 7 connecting to?
  2. If you're using CarPlay, is the Caller ID not shown on your iPhone display, car stereo, or both?
  3. Did incoming Caller ID previously work with the iPhone 7 and this Bluetooth device?
Cheers!
