System files taking way too much storage

Hello,

I recently ran out of storage on my Mac. I went to "About my Mac" to see what was taking a lot of storage. I noticed that the system files were VERY big.

This wouldn't be much of a problem if I had a bigger SSD.

I have tried using OmniDiskSweeper to delete some files, but the files built up quickly again (plus, OmniDiskSweeper was cleaning a pretty insignificant amount of storage). I think this is due to an excessive accumulation of cache.

Any ideas on how to empty more disk space?

Thanks! 😀
