Hello.
First, make sure your Apple Watch and iPhone are up to date with the latest software. If not, update.
Update your Apple Watch - Apple Support
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Check out if the Volume level is set to maximum.
Then you may also need to clean your Watch.

If still no luck restart both your iPhone and your Apple Watch, turning both devices off together, then restarting your iPhone first
