iTunes won't let me log in

So i know my email and password but when i try to log into iTunes on my MacBook it says its NOT correct. Ive changed it atleast twice and i don't know why it keeps saying that my password is incorrect but i know for a fact its not. I even tried to restart my computer but it won't shut down because of iTunes for some reason. I don't know what to do and its insanely frustrating.

Greetings jazzminefromlawrence,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! I understand you're unable to sign in to iTunes on your MacBook, as you receive an error mentioning your Apple ID log in information is incorrect. Further, you mentioned you've changed your Apple ID password, and iTunes is preventing you from being able to restart your Mac.

Since you've changed your Apple ID password, I suggest following the steps mentioned within the following support article to update your information within other Apple services: What to do after you change your Apple ID or password

Additionally, let's have you attempt to force iTunes to quit, as described in the following guide: How to force an app to quit on your Mac

Let me know how the provided suggestions work for you.

Kind regards.
