Hello,
My iPhone 7 is not connecting to my carriers network anymore. Not sure if this is a software issue with the latest update or my phone is damaged internally. Does anyone have any suggestions besides going to my carriers store or Apple store?

Follow all the steps provided here:
If you see No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Or check if your iphone is eligible for the following repair program:
iPhone 7 Repair Program for "No Service" Issues - Apple Support
If you get no help, then yes, it could be a hardware failure.
Should be this case, even if you don't want me to tell you (***), have your device inspected at your most convenient Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider:
