iPad Pro Not Charging to 100%

Has anyone had success solving this problem? My iPad Pro (bought October 2017) always stops charging at 95%. My Facts:

- IPad Pro 10.5 256GB (WiFi only)

- iOS 11.4.1 (latest as of this post, August 2018)

- Tried 5 separate chargers

- Tried at least 8 separate charge cables

- Plugged in for 8-plus hours each time

- Tried various combinations of rebooting, closing all applications, airplane mode, and location services.

- Done a factory reset and restore (one-time only), may try this again.

Any other options are appreciated before I head to an Apple store? It’s not a huge problem and hardly justifies the visit, I just don’t want it to turn into a longer-term battery issue after warranty.

It's probably not the answer but, have you tried cleaning out the charging port? Use a bright light, a magnifier if you have one and something non-conductive like a toothpick.

You might also try recalibrating the battery sensor. It's not something generally necessary but, it won't hurt. Let the iPad drain until it shuts itself off. Charge it completely. Repeat two more times.

Update: I can get it to charge to 100%, with workaround, but still not sure the cause. Here’s what I did, if this is helpful to others:

- I restored to factory (again). This time I waited to restore from backup and noticed it charged to 100%

- I then restored my backup and the iPad again failed to charge past 95%. This means some apps were stopping it from reaching full, but I couldn’t figure out which (even with them all closed it wouldn’t charge to full, so just having them on the iPad seemed to be an issue).

- Thinking the iOS may have some part I signed up for iOS 12 beta and installed. The iPad then charged to 100%, with all of my apps and configuration, but just once. After that it would only charge to 96% (1% more than iOS 11, go figure).

- I have now figured out that if I want to charge to 100%, after it’s stuck on 96%, I can just restart the iPad and leave it on the lock-screen and it’ll finish charging to 100%. So that’s what I do now.

FYI, I suspect this workaround would have worked on iOS 11 as well so I don’t think installing the Beta is necessary.
