Can't get Midi Keyboard to play and record onboard sound plug ins in Logic Pro X

I want to use a Yamaha MOXF8 as a midi controller in Logic Pro X on a MacBook Pro OS 10.13.3.

I have USB and MIDI cords that work.

I need step-by-step instructions setting up the keyboard, the MacBook Pro and setting up Logic Pro X.

I use Native Instruments plug-ins.

(I can get the Command K board to play the plug-in. But I can't get the Yamaha to interface and control the plug-in)

(The Yamaha MOXF8 is only a year old. I have installed the Yamaha Driver for it to the MacBook.)

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3), Saffire Pro 40, Yamaha MOXF8 Keybd
