Well, we cannot know what you did or didn't, reset can mean many things.
Try and test these basic troubleshooting steps:
Restart / Force Restart

That’s what I do every time I said “have to reset”. As soon as I turn off the phone I lose 3D until I reset it again, and again, and...
Tech won’t authorize replacement because they can get it to work ~ even after I demonstrated it’s not permanent. I posted because I’d like to know if anyone else has same problem.
All those were done either today many times by phone tech help, or at the store. I’d prefer if you not stand in the way of someone else replying and not call my post “polling” since your replies are insufficient. Thank you.
If they were done at the store at it didn't help then you must have a hardware problem. Did the offer to replace the phone either under warranty or an out-of-warranty replacement? If not go back and do so.
As to your question about others, I've never had 3D Touch fail, the person who got my last two phones that supported 3D Touch never had it fail, nobody I know who has a phone with 3D Touch has had it fail. So it isn't a global bug.
And regarding your request for name change I reported it again so they can contact you again.
Yes, a replacement is in order per Apple support tech. It will be delivered to my local store for pickup early September.
