Midi Keyboards are not working

I am having an issue with my midi keyboards where the chords appear on the top bar of logic but when I select and arm the instrument track there is no sound and nothing records. I have tried different midi instruments. The midi channels are selected to "all". I am using a korg usb nanoKey, and a Kurzweil keyboard plugged into the midi in on my focusrite interface. The keyboards work in protools but not logic. I just reinstalled logic and i am getting the same problem.

Can you post a screen shot of the arrange page set up with a track that won't record, including the two faders on the left. If you're seeing input on the transport it should record.

You might try going to the Upper Left Logic Pro X menu, select control surfaces. then Bypass All Control Surfaces.

There's been some problems with Logic selecting random controller presets.
