Shuffle Button Gone

My shuffle and repeat buttons have mysteriously disappeared in apple music!

I have an iPod touch 6th gen. Everything is up to date. I have had an iPod touch for many years so I know how they should be working.

Tried the good old method of restarting, but nothing changed.

Is there anything to fix this?

Hello tmoore93,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand that you are missing the shuffle and repeat buttons are missing from your Music app. Since you indicate you have been using Apple Music on your iPod for a while know, I will assume you know what and where to look for these buttons. I see also that you have tried restarting your iPod. I would suggest force quitting the Music app, restarting the iPod and trying it again. If this doesn't work for you, then my next suggestion would be to remove and reinstall the Music app. See this article:
