no place to type in verification code?

i have no place to type my verification code for logging into icloud

iMac, iOS 11.2.2

If you have an older Mac, you may have to type your verification code in the same box that you type in your passcode.


This is how you need to do this:


1. Sign into iCloud in System Preferences

2. When it sends the verification code to your trusted phone number or device, press the back arrow in the iCloud preferences box, and then tap on Sign in again

3. Type in your Apple/iCloud ID, then go to the password field and type in your password immediately followed by the verification code (for example, if your password was Lalala and your verification code is 123456, then you would type in Lalala123456 to sign in
