Thanks for following up, Yusuf.

I definitely understand that you have a different phone number than you did on the last phone, and that the last phone was your trusted device. This is actually why the previous recommendation was offered: you need to have a trusted phone number or a trusted device in order to sign in, and you can add a new trusted number by visiting the Apple ID website on a computer. This number can be your current iPhone number, a landline number, or even the number of a friend or family member you trust; it does not have to be the number to an Apple iPhone. You can add a trusted number here: Manage your Apple ID - Apple .

If you are unable to add a new trusted number, or otherwise still unable to sign into your Apple ID with two-factor authentication set up, you can request account recovery using the steps here: Recover your Apple ID when you can’t reset your password - Apple Support .

Enjoy your weekend!

Hi Yusuf,

Thanks for stoping by the Apple Support Communities. If I understand your post, you've recently gotten a new iPhone, with a new phone number, and are trying to sign in with iCloud. You do not have access to the old phone number or phone, so you're not able to get the verification code for two-factor authentication in order to sign in. I'm happy to help!

If you do not have access to a trusted device or trusted phone number, you're welcome to use the below steps from Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support to add another trusted number. You can add your new iPhone number, a landline number, or any other cell phone number (such as that of a friend or family member) and it can even be to a non-Apple device:

Keep your trusted phone numbers up to date

To use two-factor authentication, you need at least one trusted phone number on file where you can receive verification codes. You can update your trusted phone numbers when you follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Apple ID account page.
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID.
  3. Go to the Security section and click Edit.

If you want to add a phone number, click Add a Trusted Phone Number and enter the phone number. Choose to verify the number with a text message or automated phone call, and click Continue. To remove a trusted phone number, click User uploaded file next to the phone number you want to remove.

If you continue to have trouble, please review both the above article, as well as the steps and information in Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication - Apple Support .

Cheers!

Dear Joseph,

Thank you so much for the email. The problem is I can't sign in with my iCloud, each time when I try I am receiving the below message:

Two-factor authentication:

A message with a verification code has been sent to your device. Enter the code to continue.

I had bought my old phone with a phone number in another country 3 years back. I can't remember the phone number and not able to get the verification code for two-factor authentication in order to sign in. What should I have to do please?

now I am using new iCloud, just wanted to recover my data from my old iCloud. with thanks and best regards.
