Hi,
I have some demo plugins that are no longer supported by FCPX and therefore I get an warning dialogue when opening FCPX. How can I delete those plugins? I have searched my iMac for the name of the plugin, but it can't find it, I have been to the library folders of both FCPX and Motion with no luck. Soooo can you help? 😊

If they can be applied (even if they don't work) create a sequence - add a clip if the plug in requires one - and add the plugin.
Export an XML. Open that one in a text editor and search for "effect" then it that line for "uid". This will give you the path to the plugin.
If the plugin is installed thru fxFactory do the de-installation there. If you don't do the plugin will always be re-installed with every launch of fcpx.
Soooo it turns out the problem was me 🙂
I looked in the wrong Library for the FxPlug folder. Strangely when I used spotlight to search for the FxPlug folder or the FCPX/Motion plugin it couldn't find it.
But it is solved now. Thanks for your help.

No luck in the Motion Templates folder either. I will contact the developers to see if the can help.
Many plugins are in Movies/Motion Templates. Many aren’t. Some are in system library. Developers use different locations for different reasons. Check the developer‘s website or contact them for instructions for their plugins.
Unfortunately the plugin is blocked by Motion/FCPX so I can't apply it.
I got in touch with the developers and are trying to sort things out with their help 🙂
