Thanks. Not familiar with this utility at all and certainly not about to pay for it (it's already telling me I have adware when my adware security software says I don't and that my TM backup isn't configured. Hmmm...) so I hope this cut and paste will suffice for now.

Many thanks. No knowledge of installing CMM3 and can't see it in Applications directory or search for it anywhere else.

Have cleaned up using EtreCheck as per your suggestion.

First TM backup failed as per usual.

I've started investigating alternatives to TM but I know they won't be as intuitive in the event of a meltdown or reboot so still worried.
