You can open the image in Preview and select "Flip Horizontally" from the Tools menu.

Just to add, if it is a pdf or part of a pdf you would have to save it as a jpg or png file and then use Preview to flip it.
Image, or one page PDF:
In the Terminal you can do the following:
sips -f [horizontal | vertical] foo.png or foo.pdf
See the sips(1) man page, or this OSXDaily article.
That was the 1st thing I tried but unfortunately that option is not available as it is in pale gray vs black....or it would have been so easy! An other ideas or can I make that option available?
What kind of image is it? If it's a jpg or png there's no reason the option should be greyed out.
It was a PDF so changing it to png allowed me to ha e access to horizontal flip....thank you!
You're welcome.
