I would like landscape documents to rotate to the left (counterclockwise) on my printer rather than to the right (clockwise). The Print dialog doesn't seem to have an option to change that, nor do I see anything in my preferences. Is there a way to accomplish this with settings/preferences?

From the pop-up menu that now says "Media & Quality", choose "Layout":
And then check "Reverse page orientation":
Note: this seems to work, but I did not actually print anything to confirm. Also, it is possible that this option may depend on the printer and/or the application.
There is a very useful feature of the Print dialog that is often neglected: Presets.
If you create two presets, say "My Portrait" and "My Landscape" with the desired settings, you will not have to drill down to the Layout submenu, or check and uncheck that box anymore.
Thanks Luis, I did see that, and actually tried it. But relative to the portrait orientation, the landscape is still rotated counterclockwise. It doesn’t appear to be printer dependent, as this happens with both my Epson ET-3850 and my HP Envy 7640 printers.
Not a problem. I think I have my answer. The point is this is only a concern when I am printing multiple pages with intermixed portrait/landscape. If I'm only printing one page I don't really give a rip how it gets printed, right side up, upside down, rotated right, rotated left, none of that matters in that case.

Here is what I see in the print dialog with the box checked or unchecked - the display is clearly rotated.
Correct. But it also rotates the Portrait pages 180º as well. So the net effect is no change. But thanks for checking that for me.
Maybe I am missing something… my point was to check the box when printing landscape ONLY. This will result in these being rotated in desired direction vs portrait pages printed WITHOUT that box.
